Sally Hansen Vita-A lip treatment

Now I have no idea how long these have been out in stores but I just discovered these at Rite Aid.  I had gone to CVS first and didn't see these there but when I got to Rite Aid, there they were asking me to take it home.  I am a sucker for lippies...can you tell?  There are 4 different lip treatments by Sally Hansen in this Vita line.  I got Vita-A in Peach. There is Berry in light pink, Citrus in light orange and Vanilla in a light yellow.  I was torn between the Peach and Berry but Peach was speaking more to me.  I may go back to get the Pink but these are kind of pricey for a lip balm.  These were $4.95 each.  I am use to spending less than $3 for a balm.

I think the packaging is adorable.  I dig the clear case and the sleek look.  You can definitely smell the Peach scent which is very pleasant.  On the lips, they are very moisturizing. The only turn off...the taste is awful!  It's a very plastic-y taste.  If you try out a lot of lipsticks, you may be familiar to this taste.  It's hard to describe but if I had to say, it's is like blowing up a balloon and that plastic taste is left in your mouth.  To me it's that bad.  I will most likely still use it because it feels good on the lips but I may have to mask the taste somehow.  Maybe wear it under a color lipstick or something.  It hasn't detoured me into buying the pink one because...well it will drive me bonkers if I don't own it.  I can't explain crazy.  Has anyone tried this balm?  Am I the only one that didn't care for the taste?  I have only seen one YouTube review and the girl had all 4 "flavors" and she loved them.  She didn't mention anything about the taste though.  Hmmm?
