Wet n Wild Blush in Pearlescent Pink

I saw a tutorial on YouTube and they used this shade for their blush.  It appeared to be so subtle and gave a nice light pink color on the cheeks.  For $1.99, I had to try it.  I do own one other blush by Wet n Wild in a wine color but I didn't care for it.  I had to use a very light hand with that one otherwise I ended up looking like a clown.  And it was too pink-y toned to use as a contour.  So I boxed it.  I have to say that Wet n Wild makeup I usually like.  There have been a couple of things I have bought that has been questionable but it's usually expected when buying inexpensive makeup.  Like E.L.F.  I prefer E.L.F.'s blushes over WNW though.  There were 4-5 shades available and they all looked very similar to each other just looking at it.  They may swatch completely different.  I have been hesitant on buying more blushes because of that reason but since watching that tutorial, it was the only reason why I decided to buy this one.  Looking at it through the packaging, it appears to be a nice pink.  You can tell there are fine shimmers in it.  I prefer matte blushes but I don't mind shimmer if it's very subtle.  I don't like it to be too obvious or have the sides of my face totally glittery.  That's the only problem I have with Milani and Hard Candy blushes.

I did one swipe with my finger and swatched the back of my hand.  In the condense form it looks very pink against my tanned skin.  But when I blended it out, it was almost unnoticeable.  What it does leave behind is sparkly glitters.  I am torn if I like this.  As I type this, I can't help but notice the light catching some of those shimmers and it makes me nervous having that on my cheeks.  I will have to play around with this to see if I will use it or if it will need to be boxed with the other one.  Don't get me wrong, the shimmer is pretty and in the right picture you can't even tell.  But in normal lighting it's really obvious to me.  I will have to try it tomorrow for work and see how I like it.  I'll update this post and give my final thoughts on it.  I'd love to hear about your feedbacks if you've tried this and how you like it.

UPDATE 6/5/12: Soooooo....I will be boxing this blush unfortunately.  I had a feeling when I went to use it this morning and I used my normal blush brush which is super duper soft and one tap in the blush, the thing crumbled off badly.  It didn't crack all the way through but so much ended up in the everywhere else and on the brush that I was so freakin nervous to even put it on my cheeks.  I dabbed the blush on the back of my hand to lighten the shade, if needed.  I applied it to my face and the color was barely noticeable.  So I added a little more...then a little more.  When I thought I had a decent about of pink on I was happy with it.  The shimmers were noticeable but it didn't bother me.  I went to work and an hour in, the blush was completely gone.  No pink, no shimmers....nothing.  Such a bummer.  Oh well, I tried it again and unless WnW plans on changing the way they make blushes, I won't purchase anymore blushes from them :(  Love their eye shadows which also has the same crumbly effect but it's tolerable and love their nail polish (I have a seperate post on those).
